The EdTech Design Collective puts your product directly inside that ecosystem. Members engage in feedback and design cycles with LEAP's national network of educators and access structured pathways to bring innovative solutions into more classrooms.

EdTech Collective members complete a rigorous application process design to ensure solutions are high-quality and meet real classroom needs.
Our review covers five areas:
Product Maturity and Reach

Members document their product history, school and student reach, pilot experience, needs, and more.
Privacy and Data Security

Each product must meet SOPPA and FERPA requirements. Members submit their full privacy and data security policy, including how student data is collected, protected, and used. Members are committed to the highest standards of data privacy and protection for our schools, educators and students
Evidence of Learning Impact

Members provide documentation of how learning and cognitive science informed product development, how instructional content was designed, and whether third-party evaluations or case studies demonstrate measurable impact on learners.
Implementation Quality

Members describe the support and professional development they provide to educators, how they incorporate user feedback into product decisions, and what high-fidelity implementation looks like in practice.

Certification & Membership
Members have mission, vision and values alignment to LEAP Innovations, demonstrate a strong commitment to research & development feedback for growth and improvements, and are committed to elevating student, educator and community voice with a focus on equity and access.
Every applicant is also assessed for alignment to the LEAP Learning Framework™ and Convergence Framework, evaluating how the product supports student ownership and agency, adapts to individual learner needs, connects to real-world contexts, and integrates responsibly within a district's digital ecosystem.
The EdTech Design Collective offers three annual membership tiers to match your needs. Each membership tier provides benefits in three core areas:
